Highlights
Small Enhancements
- On the price list, the full pack price is now inclusive of dispensing fee, and the selected site price deviation. This is conditional - based on code entry settings.
- We have made improvements to the Vet Scan Fuse lab request feature, enabling "IMAGYST" to be chosen as the device.
- Changes to report headers will mean that the practice logo may now show at the top of reports when printing Daylists
- We have fixed an issue where the "Recently accessed patients" list was showing duplicate entries.
- Green Pencil icon has been removed from mandatory fields MERLIN-wide and replaced with a black asterisk. Unnecessary Icons have been removed from the Client Details form.
Improvements
1. Disabled Prescription Mode
What has changed? Under Administration/Settings/Treatments we have added a new Prescriptions Mode called “Disabled”.
When “Disabled” mode is selected, the Prescription radio button in the Add Treatment screen will not appear and neither will the Prescriptions tab. The Create Prescription button will not appear on the Batch Traceability or Treatment Label screens (applicable to R86 onwards).
2. Home Deliveries
What has changed? We are pleased to announce a new update that enhances the visibility and identification of cancelled orders in Merlin.
Why have we made these changes? This improvement aims to streamline the order review process and enable clinicians to quickly identify and take appropriate actions for orders cancelled by practices.
- Cancelled orders will be clearly flagged in the Prescriptions List screen and deliveries list.
- The Status column will display "Cancelled" for cancelled orders.
- A new status icon (exclamation-circle) will be displayed, with the circle coloured in blue.
- The tooltip for the status icon will read "Cancelled by Practice."
3. Accessibility
What has changed? Accessibility Improvements throughout key areas of MERLIN, including the Reception, Appointment and Patient screens have been made.
Why have we made these changes? To improve accessibility and enhanced viewing capability.
- Adding links between Labels and Fields, clicking a Label now automatically selects the relevant Field.
- Improving Tabbing between Fields.
- Improved functionality with Screen Readers to the Reminders tab on the Patient Module
- An improvement to the document display window size in Merlin, to allow for a larger viewing pane when editing documents.
We have also fixed
- We have made improvements to the template administration feature, allowing templates originally created in Word or as HTML to be downloaded rather than displayed.
- A situation where Surgeon lists could duplicate Surgeons several times.
- Weight Chart - where the Start Range has no default value it is now defaulted to zero, to avoid an error.
- Where the Modify button on the patient notes needed to be clicked twice to be able to make changes, it now only requires a single click.
- Where a user was unable to un-allocate invoice items if Accounting Period used periods, rather than a user defined date, this has been resolved.
- An issue with the closing behaviour of Clipper pop-up in the Diary screen. Other pop-ups in Merlin dismiss automatically but the Clipper pop-up stayed on screen until you clicked elsewhere.
- An issue allowing phone numbers to be saved against a mismatched country code which caused a data error. This now prevents saving until corrected.
- A situation where patient weight is updated but not all areas within Merlin update to display the new weight.
- We have resolved an issue that was causing an error message to display when the image library was opened.
- We have fixed an issue that was causing duplicate treatments to be added to the Surgeon List, when enter was pressed multiple times.
- We have renamed the option in the document context menu from "Replace document" to "Edit document" to reflect the option available more accurately.
- A fix to the behaviour from the popup window for document management when multiple files have been selected, to allow an individual file to be edited or viewed from the list shown.
- We have rectified an issue with the Hospital List that was incorrectly showing results when the "Show discharged" option is selected, when selecting dates in the past.
- We have resolved an issue where an error was presented when trying to un-allocate an invoice.
- An issue on the Report Wizard where loading of a saved Report Wizard filter cleared everything including the default selected 'CLIENT' filter option, has been resolved
