MWI Pharmacy - GPhC Inspection
We are pleased to announce that MWI Pharmacy has passed their regulatory inspection. The inspection took place in August this year and is carried out by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
The inspection went really well and we achieved a “good practice” result for Governance and Staff.
The report highlighted good practice elements, including:
• managing risk (including safety features of the pharmacy Titan system)
• managing complaints and feedback
• managing Patient Safety Incidents
• training and qualifications
• teamwork and communication
What this means for our customers?
Our premises are registered with The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and are inspected regularly.
Highest standards and clinical governance
We adhere to the highest standards possible and are audited regularly. We have arrangements in place which are continually reviewed and updated to reflect best practice.
Our team are registered professionals who undergo the same training and revalidation processes familiar to veterinary surgeons and their teams. They truly understand the difference they can make by supporting frontline clinical teams, by providing the most professional service possible
Why choose MWI Home Pharmacy?
MWI Home Pharmacy allows veterinary clinics to place an order for medication online and have the product shipped directly to their patient’s doors. Prescriptions can now be processed and fulfilled by MWI UK’s pharmacists and shipped to your clients’ homes making it easier for them to order and access their pet’s medication.
When your practice dispenses medications, staff are spending time on inventory management. They have to monitor product levels, track expiration dates, and continually execute inventory audits.
Not having to hold as many products on-site frees up budget and resources to more effectively cover the financial and time-related costs of inventory management, which are often higher than you expect.
Pet owners using a home delivery service are less likely to cancel subscriptions and stay compliant with their pet's health.
